ya yoder.. the price marlin wants for shiping is completely INSANE.. thus why i bought the Tailgear rear bumper.. literaly shiping was $100 cheaper, not to mention i really like the trailgear bumper more and more, i just do not like there optional side reinforcement tube.. im just going to make my own.. then add two more that will support the reciever a bit better.... congrats on the sliders...my buddie had one of the smittybuilt winches on his runner before he sold it.. its seemed to work alright.. but the sticker for the engagement lever was on upsidedown not sure how that happend.. maybe the 5 yearold chinese kid didnt eat his wheaties for breakfast.. and the reciptical for the controller broke out like the first time he used it..ended up epoxying it back in place and it was all good

yea instead of buying just the front bumper from them now, im just gonna go ahead and order the front and rears and recovery shackles. itll be cheaper in the long run. its gonna be i think $888.somethin. its hard to swallow that 135 dollar shippin. i could get that stuff for about $100 bucks less at a local offraod shop but there not a vendor for marlin. im still undecided on that winch

on ur question about welding...

assuming you will use a stick welder, which is really intended fro thick metal like that, a good weld will be MUCH stronger than any bolts, but will rust easier than bolts.

So, go buy black primer, and paint the welds takes 15 minutes to paint (including masking) and a day to dry, and then you have a permanent fixture

Did you have to modify that seam underneath the doors?

It looks like i will either have to cut or pound the whole thing sideways

Nah i don't want my truck any taller..
IT would be nice to put a 2" body lift on so i don't have to cut the hood when i do the 3.4 swap, but i think it would be too tall.
