i can't vouch for the 268, but the 261c has been good to me so far on my 22r-e. definitely seems to have more low end grunt than my other 2 22r-e's. it would probably be even better with a carb.

my guesstimated corrections just based on my own experience/butt dyno:

Stock 22r/22re; 96/105hp
Bored over; not sure how much but i think 040 (0.040"), 1-3 hp(guess) does anyone know how much displacement is gained?
Headers; 2-5hp at best and moreso just a difference in curve
2 1/4 exhaust with high flow muffler no cat; 2-5hp +120dB
A/C unit and vacuum hoses removed(except timing and the ones that clean out the valve cover); 0-1hp
Weber 32/36 carb; 10-20hp when tuned right.(Got this from a weber tech)
Timing advanced as far as it'll go running on regular(???? why regular); maybe 1hp or maybe detonation

i wouldnt get your hopes up too high

Thanks for the feedback on the cam. And I think your right on the displacement hp numbers. I figured out what displacement you gain, and with 040 over its 55cc. So it would be like having a 55cc engine along side your 22r. And removing the A/C and vacuum hoses is not so much adding horse as it is taking away drag so more gets to the tires, so I dunno. I think your right on the carb too, though maybe slightly more like 15-25, It makes my pickup get up and go pretty good and I haven't regeared. And regular is cheaper, lol. And tecnically you should be able to get more timing advance with a higher octane fuel without detonation.

Oh, fork, how is the power band on that cam? Like what rpm's do you have the best power/torque?

i have no dyno to go off of, but just to compare it to my other similar spec'd 22r-e's i would say it starts making a difference to me around 1500rpm(or lower) up through the usable range. i would definitely recommend it in any situation compared to the stock cam. its considerably rougher at idle than the stock cam on my efi though. i dont care one bit. the next time around ill try a 268 just to see if theres much of a difference. itll still be apples to oranges though since the comparisons arent at all scientific. in any case im satisfied with the 261.

^Hmm, thanks. What is your "usable range"? Like up to 4000?
