Gear Ratio

I have a 94 4x4 toyota pickup 4 cylinder right now it has a 3 inch body lift and sets on 31s I get about 18mpg as of right now. I want to put a 5 inch suspension lift on it and set it on 35s I know my truck will pull as is but I want to get better gas mileage and not struggle while Goin up hills. I'm trying to figure out what gear ratio to buy to add onto my truck I've done some reading and so far 3.29 is the ratio they say is "the best" but I want to be for sure since everyone ive asked has told me that 3.29 is a weird ratio. Any opinions or suggestions???

5.29's are the optimal gears for a 4 banger toyota and 35's
