gear help
i broke a spider gear in my rear diff (dont know how but i did) i swaped it out with some new ones and now im getting a defferent pattern the pattern was perfect before but now its like this
and suggestions
to me it looks like i need to adjust the pinion depth but i dont see why all i changed was the spiders

I'm certainly no gear expert, but the first thing that comes to mind is new crush sleeve or solid pinion spacer?
Hopefully, Zuk will chime in soon with the real answer.
This post certainly supports my theory that gears have to be re-set-up (at least checked by someone who knows what they're looking at) after installing a full carrier locker...

also i checked the pinion preload last night and its really low (1-2in LBs) is that normal for a brokin in diff? i know a freshly set up diff should be 10-12

Your coast pattern looks off....too close to the heel. But with used gears that have worn in one exact spot, finding that spot again can be tricky. try INCREASING the BL a little....that will pull the coast to the toe end.
