Should be on the passenger side under the intake, bolted to the side of the block. Very hard to see/get to with everything assembled. I had the luxury of replacing mine while I had the head torn off while doing my head gasket. Hope this helps.

It is above the starter below the intake .

Some just remove the fuel lines and relocate the filter to the inner fender.

Easiest way to get to it is through the passenger side service access panel.

Jack the car up in front and throw a jack stand under the passenger side, take the passenger side wheel off.

Then remove the access panel in the wheel well. It's pretty much a straight shot to the fuel filter, which is mounted laterally with two 17mm bolts on either end holding it on. Also might want to disconnect the battery negative before wrenching it, the starter positive is right there.

Not real sure what engine Jenny has but mine has 8MM bolts holding it to the block

Then you have the 2 Banjo bolts holding the fuel lines on perhaps that is what she meant. That take a 17mm wrench

I have changed numerous fuel filters on the 22re and never disconnected the battery and then one time I did disconnect the fuel line and I heard a crackling noise. It was fuel running down to the starter and luckily it did not flame up. From now on I always disconnect the battery. Just something I never thought about until it happened.
