Welcome Veeyota. Ok its probably rust on the steel edge the holds the windshield. I have the same problem even after a new windshield. One of these days I will weld in new metal.

so is that the only solution to this?? cause the windshield and the black rubber thing that seals the windshield looks pretty new for an old truck.. my guess was that it had just been replace atleast a year ago?? cause i just bought the truck too.

The seal is bad and there is a hole from rust probably.

Yep today I found out I have a little leak as well. 3" of rain throughout the day and only one drip on the way home so its not too bad. I need a new windshield anyways so I can deal with mine. I would guess bad or miss installed gasket over rust but you never know until you get in there.

If I had to have my windshield replaced again I would work on the windshield frame over say a weekend. As it was i watched him (was done last year) go over the rust with paint and then sealed it. He was aware of this and said your gonna have to weld in there some day. Yup I gotta.
