Front Wheel center caps, Nerf Bars or Rock sliders

Been working on the old girl now that I have some time working from home. I have a classic wheel upgrade issue, 17" Hyper Silver Sequoia wheels on a Gen 2 and the ADD axle sticks out so I need a pair of center caps that fits over the dust cover and studs. Found one forum from 2012 where he found the perfect fit center cap but it was from 2012. Stole the picture for this post, I don't think he will mind.
Second issue, took off the ugly OEM running boards and there is only some very small spots of rust, I am lucky. 2nd Gen get no love with Nerf Bars, anyone know a good shop to weld on some decent steps or rock sliders? I need something for my son and wife, I would run no running boards if it was just me.

Moving in the right direction

No spacers so the dust cover and studs are out there

This is the cap found by a forum member in 2012, to find that cap would finish the wheels except I need one more wheel...

The center caps just look like a general Toyota 6-lug cap to me off of a Tacoma/4runner
I would definitely get some sliders, it will be good for the kid, will be good for the trails, for looks, heck even for preventing door dings. There are bolt-on sliders available for your 4runner, which you can DIY easily, but they're all like over 2x the price of a regular weld-on slider kit -- such as Trail Gear or Marlin Crawler slider kits. Otherwise call up some local fab shops and inquire to see what they could either build or order for you to install.
I went with Trail Gear sliders on my pickup truck and had someone install them for me, but now I'm in the same situation as you where I've removed the running boards off my rig and now that my kids get in/out by themselves I could really use something there - so this time I'm going Marlin Crawler sliders and will DIY bolt-on brackets because now I own a welder -- heck, a slider kit + a small welder is cheaper than some of the ready-to-go armor options out there.
Good luck!

My thinking also, sliders with steps for the kid and wife

I have been looking at every Tacoma center cap there is, and I will look over 17" 4runner caps also, my 15" OEM ones look just like them but I need to get them in 17". Going with sliders, could not agree more. Going to have a shop weld them on, I have a good air compressor but never bought a welder. The brand insight is appreciated, I have been looking over a lot of different styles.
Going to sell the stock wheels, I am never running 15" tires again. My car is 19" wheels so 15" just look so 1990. If people like the smaller wheels for off roading that is completely cool, I get it, more rubber between the wheel and the rocks. But I am like 80% on the road so 17" wheels fit and ride really well with Bridgestone Revo 3's.

Need these in 17"
