My truck is missing the front skid plate under the motor. the one that is on a slant that you can see from the front. the PO removed it to put on his plow i guess. Anyone know where i might be able to locate one of these?

 

junkyard, ebay, craigslist.com or if your going to wheel it get a beefier one

 

Yeah, if you're going to go to the trouble to replace it, I'd grab an aftermarket one that's worth a damn.

I just got a new one from Downey for my 86 runner Black with 3 dimple holes,1/4 thick plate 125.00

 

If you really plan to hit rocks and trees underneath, I'd say go BudBuilt all the way. Or, if you just want a skid plate, you can have my stock front skid (came from 1989 Truck) for 40 bucks plus shipping if that works for you.

It has some dents and scratched paint but nothing a rattle can can't fix.
