Yup, that coupled with the fact that most/all of the SAS kits (at least the ones that I've seen) really pooch the akerman angle. Most have little to no engineering behind them.

That's a new one. I can't say I agree, but in my experience that's not the case. Everybody pointed me to the trackbar too, but that never fixed it. The wheel balancing did though.

Why do so many vehicles(including mine) come with a steering dampener from the factory? It's not setup correctly from the factory? Or did the engineers put it there for fun?

rotated tires and tie rod end nuts was loose seemed to fix problem need to drive the truck more thanks for all the input on this problem

Awesome. Was there a cotter pin in the tie rod end? I recently did tierods on my moms Honda Accord with ~285k miles and the nuts and pins were so rusted and corroded I didn't even bother trying to remove the pins. The nuts came right off and the pins desintigrated.
