Front input Bearing help!

Front input Bearing help!
Hello, my issue i need help resolving is:
I am in the middle of a head gasket repair, and i have my engine down to the block. My dad whos helping me thinks that it would be easier to do my clutch job by pulling the engine with a picker, as all thats holding the engine in is the mounts and tranny bolts. BUT: we also need to replace the front input bearing in the tranny. Is the Front input bearing doable without dropping the tranny? If not, we are going to put the motor back together and then drop the tranny, do the clutch + input bearing. Thanks in advance, any insight is much appreciated

Uhh..yeah? If you can see the input shaft in the bellhousing, you can do the input seal. Get the clutch fork outta the way, its right there. Gonna be sitting on the IFS to do it, but yep, I did mine before I found yotatech! Oh. Bearing. See, I did seal. Why the bearing? Trans issues before? Noisy-like? It should be fine.

No shifting problems, just when in neutral or in gear with the clutch engaged a noise, hard to explain. Sounds like a bad bearing
. Sooo will I have to drop the tranny to get to it? You didn't really answer my question
