Foamy power steering fluid?

So the baby runner power steering has always been a little hit and miss, but it was really bad today, so I turned off the motor and checked the level. I run ATF in the power steering and I noticed that the fluid was full but very foamy. I run ATF in all my rigs and have done so for years but this is the first time I've see foam.

Thoughts?

Depends on which type of ATF; ATF usually beats the pants off power steering fluid. This is supposedly a good list:

PSF in all GM
Mercon V in Fords and Mazda
Type F in older Fords
PS in old Chryslers
ATF+4 in new chryslers
"Honda Formula" in Hondas
Dexron3 in Toyota, Nissan
Dexron6 in new Nissan
Dexron3 in Mitsubishi, Hyundai
VW/AUDI PS in VW audi
ATF in other old Germans
Pentosin in new ones.

Recent install there is air in the system.

Put the front tires up on jackstands, take the reservoir cap off, run the motor and cycle the steering back and forth 20+ times. Let it sit until no more bubbles. Repeat until no bubbles.
