Im in Orlando and Im looking for someplace to go besides Ocala. Also wouldnt mind getting involved in a yota group in town but I havent found any.
A friend of my dads has land in Holopaw and that place is supposed to be ridiculous. No law, its all privately owned land with a gate at the entrance. Ive never been but Im hoping to be invited someday. Sounds like the holy grail of wheeling.
Edit: From some Ebay guidelines I found through google.
"Suburban Estates, located in Florida near Holopaw, St. Cloud and Melborne, is one of the "paper subdivisions" in Florida. It was created in the late '60s and is approx. 11,000 acres of Florida scrub and swamp. The lots were sold in mainly 1.25 and 2.5 acre parcels all over the world, with a large part being sold in Canada, Hawaii and northern states.
For the most part, the terrain is Florida scrub, which consists of sandy soil, palmettos, pine and a few oak scrubs. The north end of the property is considered swamp, and is part of the Big Bend Swamp.
The property is zoned Recreational, and property taxes are about $20 a year for 1.25 acre lots. The property is NOT ZONED buildable, and is used as a camping, hunting and 4 wheeler riding destination."

cost about 30$ a day, but one day is all you will need to do the whole course. try to go on a weekday to miss the weekend crowd

If any of you guys are around/near/or willing to drive to Ocala there is going to be a big get together at Hard Rock that weekend with the FATTshack guys. I'll probably spend at least a day there but most of them will be camping out the whole weekend.

the Redneck Yacht Club opened up at the begining of this year in Punta Gorda as "Florida's largest offroad park"

their myspace has alot of good pictures.
it's $30 a day, or $40 for the weekend (kids under 12 get in free), kinda pricey, but it's worth it if you go for the weekend.
i've only been there once, for memorial day weekend and i had a blast. saturday night that weekend was like spring break at daytona beach, but in the mud on buggys. it was crazy. can't wait to go again. next time i go is in the middle of november for "trucks gone wild" i know it'll be out of control.
they've got something for everybody. 800 acres to play on, oval mud track, 3? maybe 4 mudholes, some trails, a "family friendly" campground, a couple of other campgrounds, 4 wheeler only spot, the famous "buggy wash," a concert stage, and so on.
they've also got the usual rules.... no glass bottles, no guns, no drugs, no dogs, no dirt bikes (thank 'ya jesus!), etc.
and of course there's the local spots in the cape and north fort myers, but you'll have to PM me for those
