the battery died last night on my 94 toyota pick up V6. because i left the keys in the ignition and this morning i charged it. i even tried jumping it. wont go. the lights turn on and the radio works. but it wont turn over. it doesn't even make a sound. my truck beeps at me and flashes the interior lights too. this little red light on the left side of my steering column flashes also. never seen it flash before. any ideas?
i can push start it and pop the cluch in 2 and it drive but when i shut it off. it wont start back up.

 

Do you have a "clutch start cancel switch"? Mine is an auto, so I don't have that switch. If the clutch start switch goes out, you will not be able to crank the starter but the ignition system will be on (so you would be able to push start it).

 

It sounds like the factory anti-theft has kicked in. My truck has a timed anti-theft on it. Once you open the door you have a small amount of time to turn the ignition on before it starts honking the horn and flashing the lights. Im thinking that when you jumped it you may have done something to reset it.
