fitting 3rd gen seats in 2nd gen
I searched through a lot of "seat" threads, but I couldn't find the answer to this specific question. I found a great deal on some leather seats from a 3rd generation 4runner that I want to put into my 95 4runner (there's nothing wrong with mine, I just think it would be pimp). I read that they don't fit into the exiting brackets, but I was wondering if anybody has done this and what it toke, or what it will take to do this. Thanks!

not too sure this will help...
I'm not overly familiar with the set up on the 3rd gens but to look at them, about the only difference I see [except for engine choices guys] is the front clip. What I've seen inside the cab leads me to believe there is no great difference between the 2nd & 3rd gen. And in any case when you buy the seats the rails should come with them. The thing to do would be to measure the bolt pattern where the frame bolts to the floor on your 2 gen and then measure the bolt pattern on the 3rd. gen.
I hav'ent mounted my new sr5 buckets yet i'll measure the bolt pattern on them if I get a chance tomorrow and post the findings here for you.
