I live at foot if mountains. Got hilly roads. That just city driving. It was no drag racer but I kept up with traffic. City speed limit is 30 mph mostly. Did get on highway for college, 60 mph limit there. Only lost speed on big hills, most cause its lost power over the years.

I've got 285's (33's) and am running 5.29's. I love it around town and it does ok on the highway although when it was loaded with all of my stuff for a move from New Mexico to North Dakota it did lose speed a little on some of the hills coming up here. Gets decent fuel millage.

well i would mainly run 33s but id like the ability to run 35s for when i go wheeling, so 5.29s too me seem the best route, i was also gonna do a tacoma e-locker, any write ups on those?

Yeah there are a few write ups on the e-locker install here on the site. If you plan to go that route I'd recommend keeping the rear axle you just bought and doing the conversion in that, rebuilding everything else in there when you do it, and then swapping that into your truck when it's done.

yeah thats what im thinking but my parts guy angelo has a complete axle out of an 03 tacoma with the locker and he wants 400$ so i might trade him that trans and tcase for it, might be a little similar sine its already built, just replace the gears when nessary

I think the Tacoma rear end is wider than yours although I don't see that as a problem you might have to relocate the spring perches (it does have leaf springs right??) and do something about where the drive shaft attaches. Don't quote me on any of that since I've not done any research on the Tacomas.

Hey Josh! Wutup? lol. Is that "Throw in" carpet?

Hope you have good luck finding what you need, parts wise. Shouldn't be too difficult. I know that stuff is available on ebaymotors/autopartswarehouse.com, etc.(maybe not the door PANEL, but the rest maybe?)

Ahhhhhh, sexy "Fresh IFS Parts" pics! lol. Amazing how, at one point in our life, we'd look at undercarparts and say, "and?????", .....while now, we say, "Ahhhhhhh, that's nice!" lol.

Nice work, Josh
