Well, it is my second post I guess; I replied to another post a little bit ago. I figured I should go ahead and introduce myself. I have been reading the forums for a while, gleaning lots of useful information. Thanks.

I have a dark green 94 dx extended cab, v6 manual truck with 187K miles. It runs 31's (for now) on black 15x8 rims. Things i have done to it include: Magnaflow exhaust with highflow cat (stock exhaust succumbed to rust), warn rockcrawler front and rear bumpers, home built sliders, home built BJ spacers (1.5"), 1.5" lift shackles in the rear, 1" BL from 4crawler, and the ISR mod. i am in Federal Way, Washington.

Anyhow, thanks for all the info you have provided through your posts and such. Looking forward to being a contributing member as time goes on.

I actually work in Auburn. The pics are from Reiter Pitt / Lake Isabel trail. I wished I had a little more height that trip...

I have never been out to evan's creek. Is it a place i can run with out lots of damage?

I believe some of the stuff you can at Evans, but a lot is side damage from trees, rocks, ect.

I have tooled around up there on the logging spurs, but would like to explore it more some day.

I mainly hang out around Greenwater at forest service roads 70, 72, and 74.
Lots of scenic views of Mt. Rainier from up there.

The Naches is also up at 70.
Here are some pics from the 21st of July up at Greenwater, and some pics others took while on the Naches there.

Thanks for the trial info Corey.

Jay, I think the muffler sounds great. It is deep but not real loud. I wanted deep but quiet and unobtrusive. I have some video that you can hear it in, but i am not sure how to post that up on here... it will be over the size limits I think. I can post it on a home webserver, but that is likely to hose my connection pretty quick if many people start looking at it.

At lunch I will look into youtub posting.

Here is a video of going up a step on the lake isabel trail. You can hear the magnalfow behind the commentary. It is the best i have right now for the sound. Does that work for you?

That works, What size is that muffler? sound good if you wind it up?

Im lookin to change from a glasspack, too much of a "wet fartish" noise..

It is the Magnaflow XL, measures 18" in length. I have 2.5" OD pipe running out from it. No tip. The sound when wound up has a very similar tone to the low RPM, just slightly higher, but still deep and consistent. I like it.

The whole system sits a little higher than stock. The exahust shop spliced in just ahead of the O2 sensor and raised the whole thing all the way back. The muffler now sits angled up just in front of the axle. That and the cat are not the lowest hanging things now.

Having a long wheel base sure is fun, isn't it?

I wish my cat back was tucked up like yours, and yes. Magnaflows sound great, mine does.

Yeah, there are times a long wheel base is a pain. However, there was another similar rock climb where my buddy and I in our long wheel bases when up easier than our friend with very nice rubicon. Of course, eventually the trail got so rocky that we had to park the Yota's and ride up farther in the jeep (35's with 4" lift, fully arb lockers)

That is a fun question. My door axle code tell's me 3:15's. That didn't seem right at all, so i did the wheel spin test. I calculated 4:30's from that, which is plausible from the way it drives. I am the second owner, and the first owner kept good records. Nothing there about regearing, so i ASSUME they are stock, though I read that most v6's came with 4:10's or 4:56's. I guess I have a rare one. When I eventually bump up to 33's I may look at regearing, but these tires have some life left on them.

Yours isn't THAT weird. My 1994 4Runner V6 5speed has 4.30's also, according to the axle code on the door jam. It's rough taking off an a steep hill, esp. with any sort of weight in the car.

I agree that starting on a hill loaded can be some work, and Seattle has some good hills. I don't run around fully loaded all the time though, so i think i can squeeze some 33's out without having to regear for a while. I will try a buddies out here sometime.

Kevin - I don't have silver on my rocker's. I assume you are talking about the "gaurd" just in front of the rear wheels. Mine has black plastic there. The only silver i have is the grill, door handles, tool box, and hub caps / lugs. Everything else is black.
