hey yall i just got my lock rite part #1620 from summit racing and it just came with the the 2 drivers, spacer springs and stop pics and the thrust washers. Is is not supposed to come with the pinion shaft and shaft block along with the side gear or am i mistaken???

 

It may be your thinking for the 4 cyl third, V6 is not same. 2 pinion, 4 pinion. You should have 4 pinion. I've yet to tear into the one I got in the shed, but from what I can see, you might have trouble gettin' all you've asked about in there, with the 2 extra pinions and all. Did you get the choice when you, purchased?, I do believe Lock-Rite makes one for each.

 

oh ok i was just making sure i got everything cuz i hate sending stuff back so the pinion and the side gears i re use for the locker then gotcha ok thanks looking forward to the install of this thats for sure haha

 

I would think, my best guess. I've always wondered about the mechanism involved. I was fairly sure it couldn't be too similar to pictures I've seen in thier mag., from lookin' at my spare third. Much fun, I'm sure. I personaly crave the stench of gear oil.
