Hey guys is there any engines that will bolt on to my 1986 Toyota pickup 22r 4speed trans

VW tdi diesel with an acme adapter

 

The most direct /cool bolt in swap I've seen is a 5m/7mge or gte (turbo) from a supra, after that you have to figure out the electronics buuuttt that's the easy part lol, your 4spd Trans might be a problem tho

 

the 7MGTE with R154 trans is the best way to go. There are companies that make the specific wiring harness for this swap, as well as the trans to transfer case adaptor. there are plenty of supra guys out there that have spares in their garage, and at least they will tell you if the head gasket has been redone or not
