i have the 3.slow and i was thinking about swaping it for a 22re. speed is not really what im looking for its more gas mileage i do go off roading but not enough to really need alot of power so my question is will the 22re bolt up to my orgnial transmission it is an automatic i will be replaceing it anyway with the same type but out of a donor truck will this work?

 

No. The trannies are different. The bolt patterns are different. Wiring is different. Mounts are different.

Sell your V6, and buy a 4cyl. Otherwise, its an expensive waste of money.

 

Since you already have the 3.0, go to the Engine Swap section, and take a look at the 3.4 swap.
