Engine swap?

Just sitting here pondering if anyone knows if a 2001 Is300 engine would fit with minimal mods into a 1990 4runner. I have an chance to get a wrecked (rear ended) 2001 Is300 for $1000 the engine and ecu and everything works transmission in it is messed up, stripped gears, said he was hit by a guy going 70 mph when he was in gear and stopped. The entire rear end is basically gone but again the engine is perfect, just wondering if this would fit in any way..?

never heard of such a thing.
you could make anything fit. probly wont need a body lift, definatly will have to make new engine mounts

Questions

What I am wondering is, its a 3.0 liter 215 hp engine, no idea on the torque specs, but im wondering if this would be an increase in power... its the same size and a lot easier to find parts for, A LOT EASIER, but the thing is I have heard exhausts on both cars and the lexus sounds so much more like a rice rocket and the 4runner sounds a lot deeper. How does that happen?
