Question Engine cuts out while driving for a split second

Hey all, I tried searching this issue but didn't find any fixes.

My 95 3vze will cut out for a split second while driving, dash lights flick on, stumbles for not even a full second then resumes driving normally. It seems to happen more frequently when the truck gets up to temp. If this happens while idling, it will sometimes kill the truck and I'll have to restart.

Another thing going on that I think is related, while driving I will hear a relay clicking in the driver side foot well, and my after market radio will restart itself. Sometimes it restarts normally, other times the radio freezes up and wont take any input. It will stay frozen with the radio lights on even when I take the keys out and turn off the truck. The only way I can get it to turn off is by pulling the DOME fuse in the fuse box. (My dome light also doesn't work, maybe related.)

This made me think that it's my ignition switch going bad, I've experimented with wiggling the key in the ignition while driving but the issue didn't occur.

I recently did plugs, wires and a new distributor, the fuel filter hasn't been replaced since I've owned the truck, but the addition of the radio issue makes me think it's not the fuel filter and something electrical instead.

Where do I start here? has anyone had this happen and found a fix? Thanks

Okay I had some of this problem intermittently. It would always happen on the freeway and when hitting a pothole or just about to go through a tunnel which sucked. I think only the potholes were related to the problem itself. I have since changed the 40 and 30 amp fuses under the hood. The body 12 volt power runs through one of those. I would have to assume power to the ECU is one of either as well so thats why motor will cut out or have issues and need restarting. Mine looked fine from visual and multimeter testing but once I pulled the mout there were corroded areas and that would potentially effect amperage/voltage allowed at operating temp.

Changing those fuses solved my own intermittent power cut problems.

They're so cheap and available at all the auto parts stores as a generic part that I would have to recommend replacing all the big fuses in there including the 80 amp. That one had screws connecting it to its socket. Gotta unscrew the 10's or phillips or whatever and figure out how to turn the thing aroudn to get at those from the side or bottom if i remember correctly.

It's very possible those are not your problem and if that does't help I'd start replacing body grounds with new wires you crimp and cut to size yourself. It's worth it for peace of mind if nothing else. Theres one or two behind the cluster/dash. One on the rear passenger and front drivers side bank of each side of the motor, one direct to the starter, and one to the fuse box. Maybe one at the kick panel fuse box. haven't been down there in a while.

Best of luck
