ebay replacement radiator

I am looking for a new radiator for a 94 pickup. If the truck is a manual, does this mean I need to look for one without the barbs for transmission cooling?

The goal is comparable radiator to what I can buy at an auto parts store without paying the associated markup.

Would one of these choices be adequate?

I remain firmly in the all metal copper and brass radiator camp.
As to using a radiator with internal tranny cooler on a manual transmission truck,
No problems.

I’ve run several plastic//aluminum radiators with no issues. And you don’t need to find one without the trans cooler. With a manual trans there is nothing to hook up.

Can you elaborate on this millball or anyone else? I have only considered the CSF on YotaShop (OE not available). It’s going in a 91, V6. Truck that’s new to me, and I plan on replacing everything in the cooling system. I would be inclined to go aluminum if I could find a “perfect” direct fit and quality that I think would last and have better cooling.

thanks.

First, You're actually considering a $54 radiator off eBay? If you saw a sign for 50 cent hamburgers what would be your first reaction?
Second, you think they'll actually be around when it breaks in 6 months?

Lastly, there are vastly cheaper websites than Yotashop, LCE, and 22RE Performance when it comes to "off the shelf" run-of-the-mill parts.

Short answer is maybe... I did a quick check on a few chains plus rockauto. Seems like the chains are getting $175 - $225 or so. Rock auto $80 and up plus shipping. The Spectra Premium I bought from rockauto a few years ago was $93 plus shipping at the time, $103 now, and I also bought an Aisin water pump too just because. '89 bare-bones 2wd, 22RE, 5spd pickup. Nobody can answer your question definitively, even if we had the vehicle and history data. As far predicting failure of one of those within six months ? I doubt that. Got data? Lets have poll: what's the probability of one of these radiators failing within six months? One year? Given: installation by an experienced DIY installer following all manufacturers installation instructions.

I checked Rock Auto. It list the same CFS radiator as YotaShop but the core thickness is less on Rock Auto. 1-11/16 vs 2-1/16. My radiator still shows Toyota 6504, 422170-3750. It measures 1-15/16 from the front edge of fins to back edge of the fins.

I don’t know if I trust Rock Autos details. All other details are the same.

Rock Auto CSF 2056 is $205. YotaParts is $399.

still undecided….🤷🏼‍♂️
