Good luck partner thats the ones I got too. Don't sweat it I'm a big boy I knew what I was getting into. Thats what I was talking about by they were different. The high beams wwernt too bad so mabey with some higher watt bulbs they may be ok. I contacted the sell to return them. it was 40 dollars for the lights. Proab 10 to return them So thats 50 then Ill get 25 back so its a 25 dollar oops. I may try the DOT legal ones in post 94. I like to roll the dice.

Ok. I just went and put them in to see what the deal was and I have to admit, I'm not too happy with them. They put out a whole lot of light but it just isn't that useable. I think part of the problem is the Ultra Blue. I think I would have been better off with the white lights. On high beam they do throw some serious light (100w) but the pattern is kind of weak. Low beam is dimmer than a set of standard GE lights.

It's better than what I had because mine were so old, but it's disappointing to say the least. I'll probably try better aim first, then probably a set of those Hella bulbs. I'm not too upset with them as I'm pretty sure they'll probably end up being ok, I was just hoping for more.

Against the house they're pretty impressive though, but on the road the thril factor goes down very quickly.

Old low beams... Notice the right one is barely working at all.

New low beams

Old high beams...

New high beams. Wow.

And a distance shot of the high beams.

You decide.

i just bought the hella h4 conversion with the normal lights and i was very impressed, however i plan on ordering a set of piaa ultra whites, there like 50 bucks but defiantly worth it. and they have the cool blue look from a distance.

They're the Ultra Blue 100w/55w bulbs I got with the kit. I paid the extra $4 and upgraded. I found a set of bulbs in the garage last night I pulled from my FZ1 a few years ago that I'm going to try out. I think the biggest problem with the new bulbs is that they're the blue.

I won't give up until I try a pair of those Hella bulbs in them. The pattern is nice, but there just needs to be more light.

regularjoe, if you are wanting to see what the autopal e-code ones look like, here you go...

low beam at about 20 feet

high beam same distance

i have been running these housings for about a year and a half and i love them. they put out light right where it needs to be and a lot of it. i am running osram +90 night breaker bulbs and they are the best halogen bulbs i have ever used. they have a slight blueness to them but they are not as blue as silverstars which means they put out more lumens.
