I just recently bought a 92 toyota pickup its been beat and trying to pit it on the road i will be making a thread on my build soon as i get the parts together.
My question is there is an issue with the ebrake levers on the back side of both of the drums they are locked solid and i snapped the cable is there a way to replace these levers with new functioning ones or do i have yo work on unseizing the old ones im going to take a picture of it shortly and post it as soon as i can need help plz

search "bell crank". they CAN be taken apart and un-seized. I have done this. I remember finding a bit of a picture-instructional thing somewhere
EDIT....Yup.here it is http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...41642243,d.dmQ

lots of PB BLASTER....persistence and patience and you can get them free. I did have help from someone VERY experienced, so I kinda cheated.

there's a section on posting pics. once you figure it out, it's easy. get a photobucket account and then load your pics there.

if you have an automatic transmission, like I do, the e-brake probably never gets used. that's why mine froze up.

I was able to clean mine and it loosened them up a bit but I still ended up breaking the cable, they are very thin and weak. I later changed my cable for a bigger one and relocated it in between my seats, also use a drive shaft brake now.
