E-Brake Help ASAP

I went to disengage my e-brake this morning and something popped and now it wont disengage the e-brake. I could feel the pop threw the handle so I'm hoping it something close up that I can at least fix so it's out of park and drive around town. I can always leave it in gear while I'm at work. Can someone please help as quickly as possible.

Thanks
Chris

If it is like mine, it broke near the end of the cable that attaches into the handle. The cable has a pressed piece on the end that goes in a hole on the handle. There was no way to fix mine and I had to buy the whole cable and housing from the dealer. Was about $50.00.

If yours is designed like mine, you won't be able to fix it either. You should be able to look under the dash and see where it broke. Once you see how it is constructed, you will understand.

It is pretty simple to fix, just a little time consuming and you will have to buy a new cable.

I got the e-brake released once I got home about 10mins ago. I was happy to see how easy it came undone. I guess now it's just a matter of finding the exact area to which it broke.

Thanks for the Response
