Drivetrain hard disengage upon throttle release.
95 3VZE 4Runner. When I ease off gas pedal, drivetrain diengages hard. Happens at all speeds. Feels like you would expect bad Ujoint. All Ujoints and spline OK, everything greased and OK. Could Dash Pot do this? Feels like motor totally bogs down when pedal released (although RPM's remain constant). TPS replaced. MAF sensor replaced. Could this be a crankshaft prob?(bearings)?

I can help ya on the DP? If it's sticking, it will keep your rpms up, around 2000, or slightly higher, without releasing them down to idle speed, in 5 seconds or so as it should. If it's not functioning in the other fashion, it will not keep the 2000 rpm range while your decelerating like it's supposed to. You will also hear "back-fire" type popping noises coming from the exhaust, like a racecar, when decelerating with the cluth engaged. I leave mine broke so my truck sounds like a racecar. (That and it's a ditchable, in my case, emmisions gadget, no good for hp)
Check the condition of the motor mounts and the transfer case mounts.
I'm confused what you mean by "bogs" down, not rpm?

What I mean by bogs down is, that it feels like the engine hits a brick wall. But the rpm's stay around 2000. Motor mounts is what I first suspected but they are good and xfer case mounts good too. Could this be a Distributor prob?
