driveshaft center support not fitting in place

I am in the process of replacing my driveshaft center support bearing for the second time in the past 18 months. both times, the mount didn't line up with the holes on the truck. it seems as though I have to push the bearing towards the front of the truck in order to line up the holes, and this time i just can't line them up. i have the correct part number and everything. when i do get the holes close to lining up, it seems as though it is putting way too much stress on the rubber bushing that fits around the bearing. is this normal??

btw, it's a 91 pickup sr5 v6 (extended cab) 4x4.
