Drivability Problems...
The other day i got the truck smogged to swich regs. They said the timing was 26 degrees btdc which kinda baffled me cause the truck have just over 500 miles on it and i checked the timing three times when i did it. I followed all the directions to the T. The guy adjusted it back to 10 and now i have to punch it going up hill. My question is how do you tell you have a bad distributor. I read in one thread that if i have an exhaust leak befor the o2 sensor it will make it hard to get the power need for inclines.
How would i check for exhaust leaks?
And one other symptom is my throttle responce, when i tack off from the line it hesitates for a sec then crawls like a dog and no matter how hard i push down on the pedel i cant get it to go past 4k befor shifting. TPS?

He probably asked because if someone set the timing without the jumper, it will do all of those things you mention. Actually you say it started right after someone "adjusted it" so that is where I would start looking too.
