Do you consider your 4-runner a truck?

So this may sound stupid but i have dumb friends and whenever i talk about my "truck" they are quick to say ..."dude its an SUV" this bugs the crap out of me! its a freakin toyota pickup with a fiberglass shell added to it. Plus i think it doesnt sound right to say...."Yea...this weekened I got my SUV lookin sweet".....No, you say "I got my Truck lookin sweet.
Mabey its just me and I need to find new friends...Or am i in the wrong?
Give me some opinions!

I call mine a truck sometimes, but it sounds all wrong. More often i call it my 4runner. Although sometimes i just call it my car (yeah yeah, i know but it's like coke, soda and pop). Or if i am feeling really good about it i call it my rig

My 4runner was imported to this country as a truck, and sold as a truck. It didn't come with rear seats, and had a bed all the way to the front seats. The rear seat was added as an after market option.

It is a truck, and I call it a truck.

I call it my truck about 99% of the time. It is a truck, called a 4-runner. It even has a tailgate.

The State of Wisconsin doesn't recognize SUV's. You can not register or license an SUV in Wisconsin. You can not register a 4Runner as a car either, you may however use "automobile" plates (it will still be titled as TRUCK) if you do not haul material. Since the State of Wisconsin (a branch of government) does not recognize the 4Runner as a car, SUV or a go-cart, I will not oppose their decision. I also refuse to use the term SUV, short for (Soccermom's Ugly Van) in regard to the 4Runner.

It's a truck frame with a different body, it's a truck. What about 4th gen's though SUV or truck.

Definitely a truck. Second gens and up are more SUVish to me, but I suppose they could be called trucks as well.

I have the same issue you do my friend, and all my friends bark back at me and say its an SUV not a truck. Maybe we all could just become one big happy family and not have to worry about anyone else.
