Disabling ABS

My 92 runner has the rear wheel abs. The sensor is shot so the ABS light in the cluster is on.

I'm going SAS and got a deal on a 4cyl 3rd with 5.29's and a detroit for the rear of my truck, so i need to be able to disable the ABS permanently since the 4cyl 3rd doesn't have the opening for the sensor. I need to be able to turn off the dash light and do it in such a way as to pass CA smog check deal.

unplugging the light bulb in the dash won't work.

UKMeyers said that he removed the sensor from the 3rd and just tied it up out of the way and it worked okay. Anybody else do this?

Any other ideas on how to get this to work safely?

A resistor matched to the signal the unit sends crimped onto the wire should do the trick i think....

I tied my sensor out of the way as well. No light. No brake problems... unless you consider no ABS a problem.

I unplugged (ripped the wiring harness out) the ABS on my 3rd gen 2 years ago and it solved all my problems
