Dilemma - Sell the '94 and buy a '99?

I have an opportunity to buy a '99 w/50K miles, SR5, 5 speed, 3.4. I have a '94 w/85K miles, SR5, 5 speed, 3.slow.

The '94 has a 4" trail master lift. It needs new axle ratios (4.88) and limited slip differentials (Eaton rear) all for $2300. I would also like to add the ARB bumper with Warn 8K winch ($1600) and that would put at $4K into a $8k-$9k rig.

I can buy the '99 for $8K more than I can sell the '94. It is clean. I would need the Steve Sonoran lift ($1000). I would also need so swap gears and step up to the plate with ARBs front and rear plus ARB bumper and Warn 8K winch. By the time I'm done, I would have $5000 beyond the purchase price.

The question... On the trail, would the '99 fully modified have me smiling for the additional $13K or should I just keep what I've got and be thankful?

Your experiences may help shed the light...

wait so you are going to spend 13K extra for a truck of a newer gen? i dont know if i would spend that much. not if you are going to run around the same set up. i would take that money and build a beast out of what you got. SAS it and what not. but thats just what i would do. and i dont like the 3rd gen body styles so thats another thing that would turn me off.

Just my 2cents

Does the 99 have the RR DIFF LOCK or not? You might want to stick with what you have now.
