We have an 88 pickup, ext. cab, 22R 5-speed 2wd that I was attempting to buy a new shift boot for. I purchased one from Redline Goods, but it doesn't fit. The console has an opening that's about 3/4" longer than the boot they sent. I have been looking at other consoles online, and I see the one it might fit. My console has a rectangle opening, and the factory one they sent is more square. Is my console out of a different model? They are also researching, trying to help, so I have to give kudos on their customer service. They have been great to deal with. The part number shown on mine is 58802-89103, if that helps. I know I sit the boot on backwards on the picture, it was just for length reference.
The shape of my trim is the same on my '87 2WD. The shifter opening is about 6 1/4 and the space in front of it is about 4 3/4. Maybe the Redline boots are made to fit prior to '88. The part # for my trim is 58802-89102.

The shifter opening on mine is around 7-3/8" long. That's the issue. I wonder if the other trims are the same length and bolt pattern, but the shifter hole and pocket size are different. I'm trying to figure it out.
Obviously my post was not clear. My trim piece is the same shape as yours. The main difference is the size of the shifter opening, and the tray/pocket in front of the shifter. My trim piece measures approximately 13 3/4 long x 6 1/4 wide (measured from the bottom edge). The center of the screws are almost 12" apart. Hope this helps.
