Difference with T100

Hi guy's I have a bunch of questions concerning the T100 truck (i know this isn't the right section feel free to move it , but i wanna know difference between T100 and 86-95 4runner/trucks)

Long story short , what are the available engine in the T100 ?

I currently have a 1991 4runner with a VW TDi attached to my w56 transmission , i'd like to know if this engine setup is swappable in a T100 or if everything is different , i know absolutely NOTHING about T100's

More questions , were T100 available with 22re engine , from what i can find soo far , the 4 cylinder was a 2.7 litre , like 96+ 4runners.

Red face

There are very few T100 parts that will interchange with the earlier 4 Runners or Pick ups.

At my Local Toyota dealer I refer to the T100 as Toyota`s New Coke!!

The 22Re engine was last used in 95

If you swap your engine and Trans to the T100 fabricating your engine mounts and transmission mounts

It can be done since it is so different you will be a pioneer !!

The T100 frame is wider

I worked on one of these T100`s for several months. I still Have nightmares The T100 is out to get me .

Any parts you need are going to be ordered

Only 3 years of production maybe in your part of the world they are more Popular .

About the only good thing is the 3.4 for doing a swap

T100

Hey I happen to like the T100 trucks. It is true that the engine to have is the 3.4. They have the power you want and decent gas mileage. Parts can be located but it does take time to find certain items. I'm currently building a 97 Toyota T100 SR5 extra cab 4x4. I have two Toyota T100's
and combining them into one. Is yours TWD or 4wd? I have a lot of good parts for the TWD if you are interested. Just email me back if you're looking or have other questions. I am not a Yota expert by any means but I have learned quite a bit as I go. Good to see another person who actually likes the T100 trucks.
