did a tune up today

so i did a tune up today on the new truck. motor shook a little so figured why not, everything was real easy, all name brand stuff, ngk plugs and wires, accel superstock coil, total time was 45mins
then i went back to welding the exhaust leak before i change the fuel filter and weld in a puddle of gasoline
figured every other car ive ever done a fuel filter only took me 5 mins it shouldnt be a difficult process... WRONG

WTF was toyota thinking when they put the fuel filter on the block crammed between the starter and intake plenum??? now this job sucked but it was doable... after 45 mins just to get everything done and im about to screw in the second banjo bolt, of course i drop it never to be seen again
after 30 mins of searching getting covered up to my elbows in grease and turning my magnet tool from red to black, i went to NAPA to get a new banjo bolt and of course they didnt have it, so i got the privilege to bend over for dealer prices
God, why did I buy another Toyota?

patience is a vertue that i lose after trying to find a bolt from 30 mins... and this job isnt that hard, but a stupid fuel filter is literally a 5 minute job, I shouldn't have to be removing the front tire... i have a camaro to get mad at and cut up my hands, this truck is suppose to be the easy one to work on!

besides, they have 3 feet of fuel line all along the frame to put a filter, why did they have to put it on the damn block?

At least you didnt buy a domestic, you would probably be swapping the motor instead of the fuel filter

lol the 3vz fuel filter is easy to get to

and with domestics you have to replace the transmission, fuel pump, or intake manifolds

I don't like where it's positioned either, so I routed it to sit on the fender. There's just enough length in the fuel lines.
