Did I purchase the wrong repair manual??

Good day, one an all. I have a question hoping someone can help me, thanks. I recently perchased the Haynes manual 92075, Toyota pick ups & 4 runner, 1979 thru 1995.I am having cold starting issues on my 91 toy 22re. I was going through the
manual hoping I'd find some information on testing the Cold start injector, and the cold start injecter
switch. I don't see information on what and how to test using ohms. Can someone guide me, thanks.

Look for a factory service manual. Used to have digital copies on YT.

MEASURE RESISTANCE OF COLD START INJECTOR
(a) Disconnect the cold start injector connector.
(b) Using ohmmeter, check the resistance of the injector. Resistance: 2 –4
(c) Connect the cold start injector connector

I have never had the Cold Start Injector to fail. What fails is the Cold Start Injector Timing Switch, located under the Throttle Body. On the previous generations 84-88 it is the brown sensor. Sometimes just cleaning the Switch with a brass tooth brush will work. You can pull it out and put it in the freezer and follow Haynes Manuals resistance checks as the sensor warms up and the resistance should change as it warms up.
