dashboard lights don't work
Hey was up I'm new to this forum. I got a 92 toyota pickup extracab, 4x4, v6. Well for a while now non of dashboard lights work. I've checked all the fuses and they're all good. I think it could possibly be a relay...only problem is I haven't got the slightest clue to which one it could be.I was told that this forum is the best technical forum around so that's why I came and registered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pull out the dimmer switch and if it turns rough at all replace it, i just had this problem on my 91 and i replaced the rheostat/dimmer switch and it fixed it. if you have a factory radio and that doesn't light up when you turn your head lights on i'd bet on the switch being bad

When I bought my 90 4runner it had no dashlights, hvac lights and shifter lights(auto).
I checked fuses and the dimmer, turned out all the bulbs were gone. Replaced then all with long life sylvania bulbs. I did manage to rip most of the coloured rubber covers on the old bulbs though.

a while ago i was trying to fix my park lights kept on blowing a fuse, same fuse as the dashboard lights i think, so i just ran 4 wires from each light to a switch because i could not figure out what was wrong. So the other day i read this and i decided to check my switch sure enough i unhook my switch and it keeps making that high pitched sound for more then 2 seconds, no fuse blown, but i am at a loss as to witch two of the 3 wires to bridge, is one of them supposed to be a ground because one of mine is and the switch doesnt have a light or anything so i didnt think it would. anyways i bridge the other two and nothing happens?
