Take a look at this:

I plan to try their version on my '90 truck, soon.

When I was 16, my dad & I went to an upholtesteror (sp?) & made up a cover for our dashboard on my 79 Chevy. Later, I heard that dashboards get cracked from over ArmorAll'ing them. The oils cook in the sun & dry the heck out of them, eventually leading to pick nasty cracks. Not sure if it's true but my dash may be nasty dirty but crack-free!

I do plan on doing a write up about it. Probably won't happen until early next year, though.

Had the same problem when I bought my truck, got this exact cover in grey:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-...spagenameZWD1V

Took about 10 mins to mount right, use the mounting material they supply sparingly and it will be enough. After a few weeks it settles on the dash nicely and really fits well. For $30, perfect solution.
