Dash pot screws are on tight!

92 22RE: Any tricks to remove these 2 phillips head screws before I break out the vise grips? I tried heating them up and also hitting the end of screwdriver with a hammer to no avail. Thanks!

JIS screw driver if your not already using one.

Normal Phillips screw drivers like to just twist out of head ruining the fastner

Disregard, I just ended up using vise grips on the easy to get to screw and then was able to turn the entire unit which loosened up the other screw.

^^ I figured this out when I rebuilt my carburetor last year.........
