Cyl 4 Misfire Idle Only

HELLO ALL,
SO IVE GOT A 22RE IN A 91 PICK-UP. ITS GOT NEW PLUGS, CAP, ROTOR, WIRES. AND MOST OF THE TIME (BUT NOT ALL) IS WILL MISFIRE ON CYL 4. BUT OFF IDLE IT SEEMS TO SMOOTH OUT. THE PLUG IS GETTING SPARK AND
IF IT SMOOTHS OUT OFF IDLE, IM ASSUMING ITS GETTING FUEL. I MIGHT ADD THAT IT DID OVERHEAT IN THE RED FOR ABOUT 5 MIN BEFORE I
NOTICED IT. IT DOESNET SEEM TO HAVE OIL AND COOLANT, COOLANT IN OIL. ANYBODY SEEM THIS? MAYBE BLOWN HEADGASKET, CASUING CYL LEAK DOWN?
THANKS FOR THE HELP!!

wow 5 mins is a long time brother. Ive overheated my truck plenty of times ... and never seemed to loose compression ... every time the oil and coolant would start to mix, then i had to tear it apart. It might be a compression issue, if u have a compression gauge pop the plugs out and crank it a few times. While the plugs are out, check the gap and make sure they are all clean. How many miles does it have anyway?

Judging by the year, i have a late 89 22re, u might wanna take a look at vacum levels. Check for leaks anywhere around the intake. Often times vacum leaks are only noticable at idle .. especially since the 22re is a very sealed unit.hope that helps, and if it doesn't point me in the right direction.

I have yet to have a 22re that did not have a slight miss at idle. I' have has 3 of them. Mind you all of them have had over 350k km on them. Just drive it.

Thanks For All The Responses. I Think I May Have Jumped The Gun And Thought The Mis Went Away Off Idle, I Was Jacking With It More And It Is Still Misfiring At Idle, And Off Idle. I Removed The Injector And Swapped 4 With 3. In Doing This #4 Cracked And Now Have A Massive Fuel Leak. But Im Pretty Sure It Was A Faulty Injector Becasue I Was Cranking It With The Plug Out On 4 And Smelled No Fuel.
Anyway, Ill Replace That Injector Tomorrow And We'll See..
Thanks Again!
