cv axle questions

I am planning on installing a set of AISIN manual hubs to replace ADD and two new cv axles this weekend, but I've got a couple of questions now. After researching this site about how to remove the cv axle (Thanks Robinhood) I went out crawled under my rig to see what he had written about when I noticed that where the studs on the diff side of the axle should be seems to be more like a grade 5 nuts and bolts-- I guess my biggest question without going out there right now and wrenching is, DOES the factory-pressed stud look the same as typical hardware, or is it a possibility that someone else has already removed all of the studs and replaced with nuts/bolts? I guess I'll find out for sure Sat., but would like to know something now! Thanks

I got mine from an '87 4runner I found in my good friend's junk yard-- I had to pull them myself(not too bad once I figured out the cone washers) and I ended up getting them and various other parts from an early 90's model for $50.00,

Yeah, the studs have a hex shaped head, but no hash marks signifying grade. A lot of people put a wrench on them and try to turn them, not knowing they're splined and pressed in. Then they post on here asking why they can't get the CV off. hehe.

Although, it's always possible somebody already changed yours.
