Question Cupholder Mod for 87 Pickup?

Does anyone know if there is a cupholder mod for a '87 Pickup? I really
want a cupholder bad and I haven't found much for model of truck. Has
anyone done this to their truck/4Runner? Thanks

A roll of duct tape will work for most cups, plus its handy to have a roll of it in the truck.

I used a roll of duct tape in my truck for a month or so after buying a 3 dollar floor cup holder from walmart that sits on the tranny hump. It was way to long to fit though. Well I had to let someone barrow my roll of tape. So I pulled out the floor cup holder and cut 4 inches out of it with a hacksaw. I then bonded the two halfs back together by melting the plastic together with a solder iron. Its now a snug fit against the shifter boot and split bench seat. It is still a temp fix until I get some bucket seats for the truck and build a center console.

Ohh and since mine is a 89 I do have the pull out cup holders on the dash as well. But they are to small for some cups, mainly my water bottle.

The pull-out units are only good for things you want thoroughly shaken, like margaritas... Useless except on the smoothest freeways.

Here's mine on my 86 Toyota. It is from a 90 Toyota Camry and it is easily installed with plastic cable ties on the bottom.I use the large plastic cups from 7-Elevens to fit the larger containers. Also look at my 2000 Tacoma Stereo player installed and yes the cup holder holding the drinks doesnt interfer with the 5-speed shifter.

I thought I was the only one that had the duct tape cupholder. My nice thermos is a little too big for the factory ones. I have a nice big roll of BLACK duct tape sitting on my tranny hump to compliment my interior. WOOT!
