Exclamation Coolant upon Coolant

Hey all! upon disassembling the intake on my 3.slo to replace the knock sensor, I found two fun things! The first seems less serious than the other: One of the pictures I uploaded is of the fuel pulsation dampener, it seems to be missing a screw, is that something I should look into replacing? I'm also diagnosing a rich condition where I'm getting bad fuel efficiency and the exhaust REEKS of fuel, cold or hot!

- the second photo is under the intake manifold, as you can see, there's a beautiful pool of coolant. It looks like it's been there a while, as the coolant is a deeper red than the Zerex Asian Red I did the last coolant change with, I can't see any evident cracks in the bypass pipe, So I'm unsure of the best plan of action. My two theories are that: A. the seal on the pipe connection is bad, or the intake manifold gasket wasn't sealed properly. Any ideas?

That pipe is known for pinholes. The hoses that connect to the pipe can also develop leaks. The gaskets can be an issue, too, so I'd probably get oem just to be safe.
it's a fairly common issue. google it and see what others encountered.

Thanks for that, any ideas on the missing fuel dampener screw? I've read mixed things on it's importance.

Very important. Get a screw that fits, or a new damper, your choice.

Just my 2 cents. Good fortune!
