I don't really know anything good to say about dexcool, except that General Motors engineers seemed to like it???..... Seems that there were some lawsuits.
Lottsa folks use the regular Prestone type green coolant.
I've got green in my '87 cause I bought it that way, and the cooling system is still clean and uncorroded.
My '95 has Toyota red, cause it has never had anything else, and its' cooling system is clean and uncorroded too.
Either one of these is OK as long as you flush and change them every few years.
If coolants are left in service too long, their additive packages deterate and their PH changes to where they permit corrosion and electrolytic shenanigans to accellerate.
