Coolant Leak

Coolant Leak
Ahh the frustrations!!! I reassembled my truck after a head replacement. After the initial valve adjustment, the engine sounds great! The bad news is that there's a steady coolant leak coming from right under the intake. I'm thinking it's the pipe that connects right under the intake to the heater core. QUESTION: is there something more than an o-ring to seal the pipe, or is there a gasket needed? Could it be anything else under there? The thermostat housing seems to be secure.

I assume it is a 22re. It could be the heater tube, however, there is another hose/pipe assembly further up the engine under the intake, as I remember. I could go out and look at my 94 if you want.

iirc, there are coolant lines under the IM for the idle air control valve, the heater core, and a line that connects the water pump at the timing cover to the IM. i tried to reuse the old oring on the coolant line when i rebuilt my motor. it leaked lol. it was a pita trying to connect that line too. i ended up picking up a new oring at the parts store and modifying the line. i cut it and welded a #10 an fitting to it, then capped it. ill just run a flexible line to the heater core when i put heat back in.

get a new oring and also use some silicone. I have also just used a lot of silicone a few times when I didnt have easy access to a parts store or oring assortment, but using a new oring is your best bet.

im not sure if its the only one you have to remove. i took everything apart when i pulled the head. i removed EGR and the PAIR system completely, cleaned up some wiring and did some other stuff. but ya, its the one thats held by the 2 10s.
