Water, preferably distilled, it has the best thermal transfer and is what the scale is based on.
But you'll probably want antifreeze, in which case it really doesn't matter what color it is really it's a personal preference.
I would go with the universal stuff it's green or yellow I forgwt which since I can't tell them apart anyway I just read the label and look for "universal".. some prefer the Toyota red stuff.
