Constant Knock Sensor Code

I have a knock sensor code that keeps coming on. I rebuilt the engine, had everything together, took it for a ride and the cel comes on for knock sensor. I took it down to knock sensor, replaced the wiring and did an AC volt test on it. put it together, took it on the road-same thing--any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Did you reset the code after the work? You can disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour then try it.

Ya, I did that. This has really got me down to. I can be driven but as soon as the check engine light comes on it retards the timeing and slows, acceleration sucks etc.

My 93 FJ80 had a couple CELs that kept coming on. Turns out the computer was bad. Found one at pick-a-part for $25. Been CEL free ever since.
