cold air filter

cold air filter

anybody that has added a cold filter to the 3.0 ........ i need to know if the 2 reflow tubes (emissions) that go back to the air filter tubes from the exaust side need to really go back in the system .i know they really dont need to but im getting a studer like i got a vacuum leak . im really not sure if its this or not but ill take all comments thanks

come on nothing ? surley some of you guys got a cold air intake on the 3.slow hope it goes faster ................if not invest

Yes. I have a K&N cold air intake on my 1994 3.0 4Runner. It was a very simple installation. I believe the vacuum line you are referring to is the great big one. That one can just be shoved inside of the other one on the motor. If it won't fit, yer gonna have to make it fit. Use some silicon and seal it off better, so you wont get any leaks, and the thing wont come off. that what I Had to do to mine, and it works just great. I did notive about 1-1.5 more MPG on the free way, and about 2 MPG more around town. On the freeway, 5th gear is much more useable, and I rarely have to downshift anymore. Unless its a huge hill, then i need to. I think 3rd gear is the most fun, and has much more power. Enjoy.
