Code checking

I jumpered my terminals in the data box and turned the ignition to "ON" I get no spaces of code at all, the CEL just blinks continuously, is this good? Or have i done something wrong?

Thanks
Bryan

try stepping on the gas pedal to start them which has worked for me. Otherwise you have no codes. Also watch the O\D light if its an automatic.
