Code 12 Help please

Getting a Code 12 Knock Control Sensor signal. Wants to start but won't.

Now I know that's not the code I get for a bad knock sensor, Code 52 or 53...What is it? And what do I need to check to fix it? Thanks again in advance guys!

PS got the code answer from here:

http://www.troublecodes.net/Toyota/

Then found another one that says:

RPM SIGNAL-NO SIGNAL TO ECU FROM DISTRIBUTOR ("Ne" OR "G") AFTER ENGINE HAS BEEN CRANKED

--DISTRIBUTOR/CIRCUIT

--STARTERSIGNAL CIRCUIT

--IGNITER/IGNITER CIRCUIT

--ECU

http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/codes/index.html

For code 12. Now I'm confused. 3VZE motor on a '91. Motor cranks and wants to start.
