Clutch set up
Im stuck, I need a new clutch for my 91 4runner, and I dont know which one to get... I have heard of a FX racing clutch that seems good and a centerforce clutch. I just want a reasonable price clutch that still will grab really hard.. Any Ideas?

The idea of a heavy duty clutch is the amount of heat it will take and keep working

Not a racing clutch
I would suggest sticking to the stock clutch. Maybe something from Marlin if you're doing rock crawling. But never a racing clutch unless you are vastly increased the power output AND are actually drag racing or drifting. Even for a road racer you're better off with the beefier Marlin one.
In fact, call Marlin and ask. They won't sell you or recommend the wrong part for your application even if it's not thier product. Lots of brains over there with lots of product information.

Marlin every time. Heavy Duty clutch installed on all 4 of my babies.
I use my truck for plowing in the winter, regular driving all other times.
Clutch pedal feels no different from stock.
Order new seats for the shifter and transfer while you are there.

i like the HD Aisin with 1200lbs pressure plate. Never let me down. Little more pressure to press but really only noticeable after leg day. HD has more metal in friction disc so better grab. Good engagement so not all or nothing like a race clutch. I got it years ago from marlin but many vendors sale it now.
